Still thinking

Shortly after my first post I was offered a freelance job, which a I duly took, and entered a whirlwind of juggling work, home and Childcare. It knocked me over a few times with illness, and left me no time to pick up on the ideas I expressed in the first post.

Now back at home, with my daughter, and hoping to expand on the plans I have been playing on in my mind. I'm also attempting a spell of recuperation after being ill again, and needing badly to revive my fitness die and energy levels.

That said it has been a wonderful summer, full of sunshine, a few holidays and lots of exciting firsts for my little family.
I have managed a bit of sewing in between all that, which keeps my hope alive that I will be able to pick it up again.

The seed is sewn

I'm going to give it try. D will tell me I'm trying to do too much, but if i can make it work then it could be loads of fun. I've had in mind recently to begin working on a kids clothes line, small scale, and handmade. Its an Etsy kind of thing. It needs to be small, UK based, and totally me. I've started jotting my ideas down and giving it some thought. now i just need to carve out some time to make it happen. Thats one of the hardest parts, the other hard part, for me anyway, is actually believing I can do it, and getting over the cliche that is "mummy turned baby clothes entrepreneur".

Im not sure if having over a decade (eek- I'm old) of experience in the fashion and retail sector is likely to be a help or a hinderance. Knowing too much about it kind of puts me off a little, so I'm not approaching it with naive enthusiasm.

to start me off I'm going to commit to putting something here every week. If i cannot do that, then its not really going anywhere.

here she is ... my muse.
